En la ciudad de Córdoba se está realizando un juicio, que por sus implicancias será histórico, que tiene como acusados por el delito de «contaminación dolosa continuada» a dos productores agropecuarios (Sres. Francisco Parra y Jorge Gabrielli) y a un empresario (Sr. Edgardo Pancello) imputado por ser el supuesto autor de fumigaciones ilegales. En realidad, en el banquillo de los acusados deberían estar una multitud de empresarios agropecuarios (también responsables de contaminación dolosa continuada), de funcionarios públicos nacionales y provinciales (responsables de elaboración de leyes y de la aplicación de las mismas), profesionales (ingenieros agrónomos y semejantes, que actúan a veces por ignorancia y otras por negligencia preparando recetas agronómicas), y otro conjunto de partícipes necesarios en las actividades generadoras de contaminación. Pero bueno, el juicio al que hace referencia la presente nota, se trata de un buen inicio para avanzar en la obligación estricta respecto al uso responsable de los agroquímicos en la producción agropecuaria. Lo lamentable es que sea la consecuencia de un severo proceso de contaminación que afectó a la población del barrio Ituzaingó, la denuncia sobre el cual fue iniciada en el año 2004 por la aplicación de DIELDRÍN y DDT en cultivos principalmente de soja, seguida de otras denuncias en el año 2008 por la aplicación de GLIFOSATO y ENDOSULFÁN.
